I have built miniatures for a good many years. I enjoy building scenes and dioramas and have created several in my lifetime. I also enjoy woodworking and maintain a sizeable workshop in my home. So it should stand to reason that I would combine both interestes and create a scale model woodworking shop.

The shop is made entirely of balsa wood and wood glue. Even the pot-bellied stove is made of wood. The coal in the coal bucket is actual coal that has been smashed down to scale. A few of the tools are plastic but the bulk of them are actually die cast metal. The sink is also die cast metal. The roll of rope on the wall by the stove is actually one strand of real rope.

The entire shop measures 10-1/2" long x 8" wide x 7-1/2" tall. The scale is approx. 1:18th.

The workbench measures 4" tall x 4-1/4" long. I built the entire shop on a Saturday and Sunday. I think it came out pretty good.
